Instructor Kathleen Lang will guide students through the very unique and magical process of eco printing on fabric and paper. Eco printing is a sustainable natural dyeing technique of capturing botanical prints directly from live and dried plants.  Students are welcome to bring flower blossoms, leaves and other natural dye materials collected from nature along with any on going projects to the workshop. Students will learn how to arrange their “live plant design” on a silk scarf. The textiles will be processed using a bundling and cooking technique. This will cause the plants to decompose discharging color dye prints into the fabric.  All participants will receive a list of items that can be gathered and flattened prior class.
